Because of lasting adjustments of the models, e.g. introduction of the new ABS balls, it was needed to accurately adjust the rubber to these trends. The newest generation of balls cause less rotation and speed. To compensate for the loss of rotation and speed you have two options: adjust your technique or your material. The goal of GEWO is to support the needed physical adjustments with innovative approaches to the solution: a this, highly tangible upper layer (nexxTT), that compensates the loss of speed and rotation with its adjusted dynamism and bigger tension (N.E.P.). DGC40 + 2.0

One of the success factors of the rubber GEWO HYPE EL / XT / KR is the innovative technology DGC40 +. DGC40 + means a constant and reliable ball contact, and the incredibly tangible surface prevents »slip« of the ball. The invention of the last generation poly balls (e.g. GEWO Select Pro 40+ ***) requires further development and adjustment of the upper layer.

The result: DGC40 + "Dynamic-Grip-Concept" 2.0. upper layer was specially developed and adjusted to the demands of the newer generations.

FlexTech

Adaptable shape of the rubber/sponge FLEX-TECH 2.0 (XT), created specifically for GEWO, proves impressive base speed. Rubbers form the series XT with H-Touch DGC 40+ 3.0 surface, turn the speed of opponents’ topspin into personal energy and it releases like catapult, when leaving the racket. Small bumps on the rubber are distributed further apart and are slightly narrower that on the EL rubbers. These rubbers are focused mainly on speed.

Elastic rubber

EL rubber (Elastic Rubber), despite its compactness, it ensures great feedback at ball contact and a unique feeling. All rubbers of this series are made for rotation (spin). The heads of the little balls are installed at smaller distances of each other and are slightly thicker than in XT rubbers. When it comes to rotation generation, the upper layer DGC40 + 2.0 shows its true power (really reliable connecting and maximum rotation), because it ensures bigger contact surface at ball contact.
